This is a vast collection donated by collector Robert Butts. Even if you can't make it to San Diego to have a look, read the abstract and container list to get a sense of the breadth of Joe's work as well as the extraordinary circle of artists, writers and composers with whom he collaborated and who he counted as friends.

Jacket Magazine, Issue #16
This issue of the venerable Australian on-line poetry journal includes selections from Pressed Wafer #2 in which writers such as Wayne Koestenbaum, Anselm Berrigan, Anne Waldman, Eileen Myles, David Trinidad, and many others honored Joe with poems and remembrances. The special feature on Joe also includes an excellent essay "Working with Joe" by Bill Berkson (who collaborated with Joe on "Recent Visitors" in The Nancy Book) as well as Kristin Prevallet's "The Artful Wordiness of Materials: Joe Brainard & Poetry" and her interview with Kenward Elmslie. This issue of Jacket also honors Angel Hair Press.
