Siglio is a new, independent publishing house in Los Angeles dedicated to producing uncommon books that live at the intersections and interstices of art and literature.
The artists and writers whose work we publish have this in common: a resistance to boundaries, a relentless curiosity, an affinity for ambiguity and contradiction, and a singular, inimitable voice or vision.
Siglio books defy easy categorization. They are innovative, hybrid works in which the relationships between image and text are complex and dynamic; in which narrative forms are reinvented, subverted or redefined; in which seemingly dissimilar things might collide or converge in order to yield something surprising, intriguing and provocative.
We aim to generate collaborations between artists and writers, cultivate wider audiences for original, challenging work, and make affordable books that are as much a pleasure to touch and hold as they are to read.
